Camping Holidays in Aigues-Mortes, Languedoc-Roussillon

Aigues-Mortes is situated roughly 20 km from Montpellier in the Camargue region of south east France, partly surrounded by lakes and the Med sea.
Although more of a town, This is what we call a small town these days but in medieval times when it was first built it was a city, and its name means 'Dead waters' which it may have been given because of the salt pans nearby. This is a lovely, picturesque place which still retains it's "Olde Worlde" charm.
You can share the Camargue adventure by just wandering around by the lakes in a protected area where you can see the pink Flamingoes and the famous Camargue horses. Other places also worth a visit include the town of Nimes (35km away) and the fantastic city of Montpellier (30km away).
We don't currently feature any campsites in Aigues Mortes but have some a short drive away in locations such as Vias Plage, Valras Plage and Portiragnes Plage. Select France and Languedoc in the booking engine to the right to see all available campsites in the region.
