Camping Holidays at Château De L'Epervière, Gigny-sur-Saône - Burgundy

Camping in Burgundy - Chateau de l'Eperviere Pool

Chateau de l'Epervière is located in southern Burgundy between the popular towns of Beaune & Mâcon. The campsite is set in the grounds of a partially restored 16th Century chateau and is ideal for both a short break or a longer family holiday.

High quality facilities at the campsite include a pool complex with both indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi and sauna. There is plenty of outdoor space for children to play in and mature woodland to explore.

The onsite mini market and main shop are open from late April - end September and the restaurant, located in the chateau serves regional specialities and has a childrens menu.

For a quote or to book Chateau de l'Epivière, select France and region Burgundy in the booking engine to the right.

We also have another campsite in Burgundy available to book. Camping Des Sources is located just 500m from the pretty village of Santenay

Camping in Burgundy - Des Sources pool

The park provides the ideal place for a break in the countryside and enjoys modern facilities. Relax on the sun terraces surrounding the adjacent municipal pool and enjoy views of the surrounding countryside.

There is also a small shop and snack bar and there are a few shops and restaurants in Santenay itself. Some facilities may not be available during low season.

Our accommodation here is in good quality 2 and 3 bedroom mobile homes.

Nearby:

Parc Touristique des Combes

70 hectares of natural space in the heart of Burgundy. This leisure parc offers a number of interesting activities and events for the whole family. Attractions include a 400 metre summer sledge with speeds up to 40 km/h. A train journey lasting an hour and a half takes you through the magnificent countryside with views over the mountains of Beaujolais and Morvan.

Zoo de l'Auxois

A pleasant zoo with many species of animal. There are several attractions around the zoo to entertain the children.

Parc Aquatique de Quetigny

Heated indoor tropical waterpark with many features including wave machines, waterjets and crazy rivers. There is also a restaurant area in the complex.

Getting there:

Depending on how far you have had to travel to reach Dover you could make it to Gigny-sur-Saône from Calais or the Tunnel the same day as it is roughly a 7 hour drive, but we do suggest that you make an overnight stop somewhere en route.

From Calais take the A26 autoroute signed for St Omer, Bethune, St Quentin, Reims and Troyes where the road number changes to the A5 then A31 to Dijon from where you need to follow signs for Beune (which you bypass) and Chalon-sur-Saône. Road numbers keep changing but at this point you are on the A6 E15 E21 and you need to leave at junction 26 and head for Epervans and Ouroux on the D98. When at Ouroux take the D6 and head for Marnay from where you take the D271 to Gigny.

Alternatively you could take an overnight ferry to Caen and drive the 400 miles or so to the campsite. Head for Paris and get onto the external ring road. Take the A6 E15 autoroute and follow signs for Macon and Lyon, staying on the same road all the time until you leave it at junction 26 (as above).
