Camping Domaine de Drancourt in St Valéry, Picardy
Camping Domaine de Drancourt, is a rural site which is surrounded by fields and woodland.
There is a long and tree lined avenue which leads up to the spectacular château, the gardens of which will provide a unique setting for your camping holiday.
Well suited to families with young children thanks to its close proximity to the ferry ports and wide open spaces for children to play, Domaine de Drancourt is also a great place from which to explore St Valéry as well as Paris.
There are three swimming pools, one of which is covered and one with waterslide. The pools are open from end of March to end of September (dates may vary).
There is a mini market and a main shop and the restaurant is well situated close to the main reception.
Note that it is only open on weekends and bank holidays only in low season. There is also a snack bar (open July - August) and a take away open all season.

Getting there:
St Valéry is near enough 68 miles drive from Calais on either the D940 (free) which is the more scenic of the two options, or take the A16 E402 autoroute which is faster but not free.
On either road the route is completely idiot proof, so from Calais or the Tunnel follow signs for Boulogne and le Touquet-Paris-Plage and if in doubt follow signs for Dieppe after le Touquet, but don't go there! Just follow the signs until you arrive at St Valéry on the D940.
On the autoroute it is just as simple so follow the signs for Boulogne, le Touquet and Abbeyville, but you don't go that far, so make sure you take the turn off at junction 24 which is signed for St Valéry.
