Camping Sylvamar boasts an enviable location in the Les Landes forest, close to the beach and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Facilities at Sylvamar really are superb and include an aquatic area with three pools, play river and a triple waterslide as well as a new waterpark with indoor children's pool, spa, jacuzzi and Turkish bath.
Along with the many organised activities for children of all ages there's tennis, football, basketball and volleyball with horse-riding available just 3km away.
The modern bar and restaurant are enjoyable places to relax and are open from end of March to late September. Both are located by the pool.
Away from the park, Labenne itself has much to offer with cycle paths and forest roads and a lovely outdoor market.

Getting to Labenne-Ocean: We suggest arriving in St Malo, Caen or Roscoff. Wherever you arrive, aim for Rennes and then Nantes/Bordeaux. Meet le périphérique (ring road) 4 km north of Nantes at junction 37 and head for Bordeaux. Exit the ring road at junction 48 where you have a choice of roads, but we recommend taking the A83/E3 autoroute because even though you have to pay a toll it is far faster. Always follow signs for Bordeaux.
Leave that road at junction 7 and take the D137 past la Rochelle and on to Rochefort where you will pick up the A837/E602 autoroute which later joins the A10/E5 direct to Bordeaux. Bordeaux also has a périphérique like Nantes only bigger, and you join it at junction 1, and you can exit at either junction 15 or 16 onto the A63 or the N10 - they join up further south anyway to form the E5/E70, but follow signs for Bayonne/Biarritz until you see a sign for Capbreton which is just to the north of Labenne-Ocean.
