Camping near Port Grimaud

Port Grimaud is a rather special and magical place as it is located in an area where dense woodland meets the blue waters of the Golfe de St Tropez' north shore.
Port Grimaud is pretty much a purpose made resort, the construction of which started in 1966, and is about 6 km from the original town of Grimaud - built inland in a bid to foil marauding pirates some hundreds of years ago.
Today however, Port Grimaud is a thriving holiday resort.
You will see when you get there that the town was created as a Venetian lagoon village where every house was unique in style and colour, and where each dwelling had mooring space for a boat.
Although we don't have any campsites located directly in Port Grimaud, we have several in and around the area including St Tropez, St Raphael, Canandel and Frejus.
If you are driving to Port Grimaud then Caen or le Havre are popular choices because you can take an overnight crossing and start your journey south after a night's sleep. Having said that, it is still a long drive and so we do advise customers to book into a hotel for the night to break the journey up.
