Holland is famously flat but is given character and charm by the windmills, bulb fields and acres of woodland that cover the country. The Dutch are well known for their love of cycling so you'll find many miles of dedicated cycle paths.
So many people choose Holland as a camping holiday destination year after year and with such easy access from the UK & high quality parks, it's easy to see why. Ferries arrive into the Hook of Holland, Rotterdam and Amsterdam (Ijmuiden) for most of the week and leave only a short drive to the campsite once you leave the ferry port.
The capital Amsterdam is home to the Van Gogh museum and houses the famous Vase with 12 Sunflowers painting. Also worth a visit during your stay are The Hague and the old university town of Leiden.
One of Europe's most cultured, and fun cities. Amsterdam is endlessly beautiful, with its 17th century canals and cobbled streets, not to mention a host of must-sees, such as the Anne Frank House and the wonderful Stedelijk Museum.
It may be Europe's largest port, but Rotterdam is also known as Holland's main centre for contemporary art, fashion and design. The Kunsthal and Boijmans Van Beuningen museums are unmissable, as is the Bijenkorf shopping centre.
With its wealth of wonderful architecture and fine museums, including the stunning Gemeentemuseum and the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis, where you can see the original Girl With A Pearl Earring painting, The Hague is simply unmissable.
