There is no doubt that France is the best country in Europe to take the family for a camping holiday, not least because most of the resorts are tailored to meet the demands of family groups, and nearly all campsites have children's clubs and child minding facilities as well. Camping is great fun for the whole family and France has so many varied regions and micro climates that it is often hard to make a decision as to where to go.
To book a family camping holiday please use the booking engine to select your preferred country and destination. Tents, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom mobile homes are available to book.
If you have younger children, you want to avoid a long drive from the ferry port to your campsite. In this instance, we advise that you look a camping holidays in Picardy, Normandy, Brittany or even the Northern Vendee. If you choose a campsite in Picardy, then a quick Dover - Calais crossing is ideal. For the others arrive into Caen, Cherbourg, Roscoff or St Malo depending on which town your staying in or near.
Camping as a family in France with older children and teenagers gives you a bit more freedom in terms of destination. Although the northern sites are popular, many venture further south to the Aquitaine, Languedoc, Dordogne and the Cote d'Azur.
Whichever campsite in France you decide on, they all have swimming pools, waterslides and a range of activities and facilities ensuring that no children - whatever their age will be bored during your stay!
