Places to Visit in Brittany
Mont St Michel
Attracting thousands of tourists each year, the superb Benedictine abbey of Mont St Michel dates back to the eighth century. See examples of both Gothic and Romanesque architecture as well as views from a stunning location atop a rocky outcrop in the sands.
The Carnac Stones
Located close to the towns of Carnac and La Trinité-Sur-Mer, the site comprises of more than 3000 standing stones or Menhirs, some dating back to 4,500 BC.
And ideal attraction for families with older children and located adjacent to Mont St Michel, Alligator Bay boasts 10,000 square metres of fun including the largest collection of alligators in Europe! You'll also find turtles, lizards, reptiles, scary bridges and wobbly pontoons.
Zone de l'Hippo
Great for younger children, the 'Zone de l'Hippo' can be found close to Quimper. It is an indoor play centre with activities for both babies and toddlers right up to 12 year-olds. Here you'll find trampolines, ball pools, bouncy castles, electric go-karts, pedal cars, table tennis and amusements.
